About me:
  • I love eye-catching earrings:  pizzas, dice, sharks, tiny Harry Potter books…

  • I lived in Ecuador about 30 years ago (and try to keep up my Spanish).

  • I have a wonderful husband and 4 children.

  • I taught 2nd grade in Parma, many Reading Recovery students (one-on-one), and Home-PreK.

Jan 2017 will be my 8th group of K-Jumpstart students.  What is“Kindergarten-Jumpstart?”  This half-day class“Jump Starts” a student’s letter and number skills with FUN practice using movement, singing, and touch.  Students attend either AM or PM, and go to a regular Kindergarten class the other half of the day.  All kindergarteners are screened to determine who could benefit most from Jumpstart and could handle attending a full day. Each December, some students complete Jumpstart and more are selected for January-May class. Parents are required to practice counting/reading several times a week with their child.
