This is my 23rd year of teaching in Special Education. I grew up and graduated high school in Weiser. I then attended and graduated from the College of Idaho with a biological science teaching degree. I also took classes at the University of Idaho turning my minors in history and Social Studies in to majors, adding them to my teaching credentials.  I started my teaching career in New Plymouth as a teaching assistant in Special Education. I was given the opportunity to go to Boise State University, go Broncos!, where I obtained  my Special Education degree. I became the Special Education teacher at New Plymouth and was there for 21 years. I am starting my 2nd year at Fruitland and loving it! I am married to my best friend and have two wonderful step-children and three grandchildren; I also have several adopted grandchildren. I love to read, go camping, or just hang out with family and friends.

I have enjoyed working for Fruitland School District for 17 years.  I started as a special education para-professional at Fruitland Middle School.  I loved my 14 years there working in the classroom, helping with the after school programs and summer school.  Three years ago I decided that a change might be nice. I requested to come to the elementary level when there was an opening. I love all ages of children and I truly believe that they have taught me so much.  The staff and children I work with continue to inspire me.
