Third Grade

Nicole Bergam

This is my sixth year of teaching and my second year at Fruitland Elementary. I LOVE teaching third grade to these amazing Bear Cubs!  I received my Bachelors in Education from Eastern Oregon University and earned a Masters in Math Curriculum and Instruction from University of Texas at Arlington. Third grade is an amazing year of growth and increasing responsibility and we will be working hard to have a wonderful adventure!

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English form the University of La Verne in California, and recently received my Teaching Certification from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, ID. In May of 2017 I completed my Masters of Education. I completed my student teaching with Mrs. Grimes in first grade here at Fruitland. Both of my parents are teachers, and this is a profession that goes back several generations in my family. I have had wonderful professors, teachers and mentors to prepare me for being an educator. I am married with two sons. We have a dog, a cat and now have chickens, so our home is a busy place! I am passionate about learning and I expect to learn as much from your student as they will learn from me.

I am so excited to be teaching again in the classroom! I taught 2nd grade for 9 years and then took a 12 year break to stay home with my 3 boys.   I always wanted to teach 3rd grade, so am thrilled that I have been given this opportunity! I earned my Bachelors in Education from BYU along with my ESL and Gifted and Talented Endorsements.  I am excited to make great use of this education as I take on this great responsibility of teaching these amazing students at FES! When I am not teaching, you will find my family and I enjoying any activity you can imagine doing outdoors!
